Mo’ath Alkhawaldeh (Mo) , Olympic athlete

In 2023, Coach Mo Alkhawaldeh Olympic athete realized that his clients weren't just benefiting from tailored coaching plans but also from connecting with like-minded runners. He placed the whole runner at the center of his coaching because he knew that many runners were drawn to train and race by the empowering and positive sense of community they experienced in the running world. With this insight, Coach Mo decided to create a coaching experience that would be both personalized and social, and that's how Accelerate came into existence.

Mo’s bio HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Mo ranked among the top 50 marathoners at the World Athletics Championships, Budapest 2023

  • Washington DC Half Marathon Champion 2021

lINDSAY SCHOTT

Lindsay was a D1 middle-distance runner who specialized in the 800m and competed for four years. She started coaching both in person and virtually just a few months after graduating.

Lindsay loves investing in the goals of others and helping her athletes find balance between life and training. She has a passion for working with women to support them in finding joy and confidence in their training and racing.

For Lindsay, the most fulfilling moments in coaching have been working with her athletes to achieve goals that they never thought were possible through consistency and love of the process.

YOU’D NEVER GUESS THAT: LINDSAY is scuba certified, and started skiing before she even learned how to walk.

MOLLY APPLEGATE

Molly has coached clients in fitness through the Molly Motivate virtual training program, focusing on body weight circuit training with minimal equipment. She specializes in a functional fitness approach, building a fitness routine around clients’ lifestyle so that it becomes a sustainable habit.

Molly ran for 5 years at the Division 1 Level for the College of William and Mary, specializing in the mile and 3k Steeplechase and competing on several national stages across the U.S. After college, Molly went on to compete at the semi-professional level for the Georgetown Running Club for two years. She holds an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and a Masters in Business and currently works in consulting.

Molly believes in a minimalistic approach and that fitness should not be complicated. Fitness should be a joyful habit that’s part of a daily routine to elevate you to be your best self! Molly’s philosophy is to meet clients where they are to create a custom plan that works for their lifestyle.

You’d never guess that… Molly grew up sailing competitively and loves to be out on the water. She got her competitive spirit crewing for her Dad every summer at the Jersey Shore. Her first coaching job was as a sailing coach!

Stephen Rutgers

Stephen ran Division 1 cross country at The George Washington University, but his running career was abruptly halted by two knee surgeries during college. Despite being told he might never run without pain again, Stephen defied the odds and began participating in marathons in 2015. He achieved his Boston Qualifier (BQ) in 2023 in Tokyo after rigorous training with Mo and is set to earn his six-star status in 2024 at the Boston Marathon. Stephen holds both an undergraduate and a master's degree in Sports & Events Management.

His passion for running traces back to middle school when his cousin became the world's fastest amputee athlete and won an Olympic gold medal. This inspiring story serves as a constant reminder to Stephen that no obstacle is insurmountable. One of Stephen's greatest joys is helping people initiate their running journey, especially those who doubt their abilities. He firmly believes that running is as simple as putting one foot in front of the other—regardless of speed or distance—and that the rest will naturally fall into place.

You’d never guess that… stephen loves going to the movies by himself and is obsessed with movie theater popcorn & sour candy.
